METAGLAS® Type 19.BIO — O-Ring Sealed Sight Glass Flange (DIN 28117 / Flat Face)
The METAGLAS® Type 19.BIO is a metal-fused sight glass flange engineered for installation on
base flanges per DIN 28117 (or similar) and weld-neck flanges with a flat sealing surface.
It leverages an O-ring sealing concept for clean, repeatable, and maintenance-light operation, while the
fused glass ring delivers the trademark METAGLAS® mechanical pre-stress for fail-safe integrity.
Design & Construction
Interfaces: Base flanges DIN 28117 (or similar) and flat-face weld-neck flanges
Sealing:O-ring seal (material per duty: EPDM, FKM/Viton®, PTFE, etc.)
Envelope: Pressure / temperature dependent on size and materials (data on request)
