Quartz glass (SiO₂) is a high-performance, single-component glass valued across scientific and industrial sectors for its purity, thermal stability, and exceptional optical characteristics. Available in both natural and synthetic forms, it is produced either from mined rock crystal/pegmatite quartz or via the high-purity Flammpyrolyse process using silicon tetrachloride (SiCl₄).
