METAGLAS® Type 73 — Metal-Fused Sight Glass According to DIN 7079
The METAGLAS® Type 73 is a metal-fused circular sight glass manufactured in compliance with
DIN 7079. Designed for direct installation into standard sight-glass fittings
(DIN 28120), sight-glass armatures (DIN 28121), and
pipe screw connections DIN 11851, this assembly delivers long-term optical performance and
mechanical integrity under demanding process conditions.
Design & Construction
Standard: DIN 7079 metal-fused sight glass
Design: Circular form for direct fit into DIN-pattern fittings and armatures
Compatibility: DIN 28120, DIN 28121, DIN 11851 connections
Bonding Technology: Glass permanently fused into steel ring — creating mechanical pre-stress for
superior pressure and temperature resistance
Seal Type: Flat sealing surface — use with corresponding gaskets per DIN standards
