METAGLAS® Type 84 — Aseptic Flange Sight Glass (DIN 11864-2, Form A, Raised Lip)

The METAGLAS® Type 84 is a hygienic aseptic flange sight glass designed to DIN 11864-2 (Form A). Featuring a raised lip for installation on a recessed-face sterile duty flange, it delivers high-clarity visibility with a minimal hold-up profile and the proven safety of metal-fused, mechanically pre-stressed glass.

Design & Construction

Connection Standard: Aseptic flange per DIN 11864-2, Form A
Interface: Raised lip mates to recessed face on sterile duty flange
Optics: METAGLAS® metal-fused borosilicate glass — permanent compressive pre-stress
Body Material: Stainless steel (e.g., 1.4404 / 316L) for hygienic service
Finish: Polished/electropolished surfaces to support CIP/SIP
Sealing: Aseptic gasket set per DIN 11864-2 (material to suit media/temperature)
Envelope: Pressure/temperature dependent on size & materials (provided on request)
